保险公司调查员赵吉（麦亨利 饰）为寻找失窃的艺术品前往太平洋某岛国，凭借高超的开锁技术加入了以象爷（任达华 饰）为首的文物盗贼团伙，与几个各有专长的伙伴一起展开了一系列惊险刺激的“偷盗”行动，最后寻回艺术品并联合警方将盗窃团伙抓获，也在一切落幕后获知了父亲失踪的真相。
